Mr. Don Lam, a founding partner of VinaCapital, has worked in Vietnam for more than two decades. He has overseen VinaCapital's growth from a single USD 10 million fund manager in 2003 into a leading investment management firm in Southeast Asia.

Additionally, Mr. Lam established the VinaCapital Foundation, whose mission is to empower the children and youth of Vietnam by providing opportunities for growth through health and education programmes. In addition to his role at VinaCapital, Mr. Lam is the Deputy Chairman of the Private Sector Development Committee (Committee IV under the Prime Minister’s Advisory Council for Administrative Procedure Reform), and Vice Chairman of the Institute for Circular Economy Development

Before founding VinaCapital, Mr. Lam was a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (Vietnam), where he led the corporate finance and management consulting practices throughout the Indochina region. He has a degree in Commerce and Political Science from the University of Toronto and is the recipient of an honorary doctorate in business from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Mr. Lam is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Canada and is a Certified Public Accountant and holder of a Securities License in Vietnam.

Andy Ho serves as Chief Investment Officer of VinaCapital Group and Managing Director of the VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund (VOF), which is traded on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. Since joining VinaCapital in 2007, Andy has helped VOF's net asset value surpass the USD 1 billion mark, deployed over USD1 billion on privately negotiated deals and led over USD 700 million in exits via strategic trade sales.

Andy is a leading authority on investing in developing markets, privatizations, and private equity deals in Vietnam, regularly speaking at events around the region and appearing in the media.

Prior to joining VinaCapital, Andy was director of investment at Prudential Vietnam, where he looked after the company's capital market portfolio and developed its bank investment strategy, which provided a return of four times over an 18-month period. He also served as manager of Prudential's mutual fund, PruBF1. Andy also held various management positions at Dell Ventures (the investment group of Dell Computer Corp.) and Ernst & Young.

Andy earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from the University of Colorado Boulder, and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the U.S.

Mr. Brook Taylor has lived and worked in Vietnam since 1997 and has over 20 years of management experience, including more than eight years as a senior partner with major accounting firms.

Previously, he was deputy managing partner of Deloitte in Vietnam and head of the firm's audit practice. He was also managing partner of Arthur Andersen Vietnam and a senior audit partner at KPMG. Mr. Taylor's expertise spans a broad range of management and finance areas, including accounting, business planning, audit, corporate finance, taxation and risk management. He holds an Executive MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration from Victoria University of Wellington.

Mr. Trung Hoang is a Partner at VinaCapital Ventures. He has more than 25 years of experience in business consultancy, corporate operations and venture capital across Southeast Asia and Silicon Valley. As one of the first venture investors in Vietnam, Mr. Trung was the deputy managing director of DFJ VinaCapital and generated 3.7x MOIC and 17.2% IRR for the fund.

During his career, he has served on multiple boards of technology startups that have successfully expanded across the region and have undertaken successful local IPOs (> 100× multiple). Previously, he was the former Head of Business and Management Consulting at PwC Indochina covering Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Trung holds an MBA from the Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands.

Richard Han is Vice President at VinaCapital Ventures. Prior to VinaCapital, he held various roles in global and regional companies spanning from coverage and product investment banking to corporate development and strategy.

Over the course of his career, he has completed more than 40 investment and corporate finance transactions in excess of USD 1.4 billion across agriculture, consumer, financial services, healthcare and technology sectors in both the U.S. and Southeast Asia.

Thai Lam is a Senior Portfolio Manager at VinaCapital Ventures, where he is responsible for sourcing deals, conducting due diligence, and participating in operational decisions for the portfolio companies. He has over 15 years of experience in the venture capital industry and has a deep understanding of the Vietnam technology and media sector and a strong track record of investing in and growing start-up companies.

Thai has extensive investment experience, having first joined DFJ VinaCapital and now at VinaCapital Venture. Investment highlights include: a media start-up company that became the first VC-backed company to undertake an IPO, the largest OOH advertising company in Vietnam, and a fintech company that has become the leading SME lending platform in SEA

Thai is a graduate of RMIT University with a bachelor's degree in commerce

Nam is responsible for sourcing, screening, analyzing, and closing investment opportunities. He is passionate about identifying bold and transformative ideas and founders who are purpose-driven enough to execute what's necessary at speed and bring society forward.

Before joining the team, Nam was a Deal Advisory Manager at PwC, completing over 15 transactions in the fintech, e-commerce, retail, and logistics sectors. He also served as Deputy Finance Manager at a growth-stage EdTech startup, where he cut his teeth on private capital through the company's successful Series D fundraising efforts.

Nam holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Foreign Trade University and is pursuing level III of the CFA program.

Phuong Dinh joined VinaCapital Ventures in May 2022 where she actively involves in deal sourcing and execution. Her scope of works includes but not limit to seeking potential opportunities, building valuation models and reviewing legal documents. She is also supporting portfolio companies on an as-needed basis.

Before becoming a member of VinaCapital’s VC team, Phuong was an equity analyst and an investment associate at buy-side firms including VinaCapital Group, Endurance Capital and VAM.

She graduated from Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences with a major in Accounting and Financial Management.

Since joining VinaCapital Ventures in November 2021, Dat has supported senior executives in investment evaluation, execution, fundraising and portfolio company monitoring, focusing on early and growth-stage technology startups. With over five years of experience in international trade and risk assessment in both the U.S. and Vietnam, Dat has been exposed to a variety of trading strategies and instruments since 2017. While working at the trading desk, he gained valuable knowledge about blockchain technology and digital assets.

Prior to joining VinaCapital Ventures, Dat was a commodity trader at Atlantic (USA), LLC (New York), a subsidiary of ECOM Agroindustrial Ltd., where he monitored international market performance, analyzed market reports, and developed hedging strategies. He has also worked with notable global agricultural and food manufacturers, including Starbucks, Nestle, J.M. Smucker, as well as with leading agricultural exporters in Vietnam.

Dat received a Bachelor of Science in Economics and International Business from Liberty University.

Hieu started his career with Ernst & Young in New York city where he worked for three years as a Senior in the Financial Service Organization Assurance practice. During his time at Ernst & Young, Hieu gained valuable experience working with different hedge funds undertaking various strategies. He currently holds a Certified Public Accountant license in the State of New York.

After three years in the U.S., Hieu moved back to Vietnam to leverage his experience and skillset to make a positive impact in his home country in a new and more challenging environment. He joined VinaCapital Ventures as an Investment Analyst in October 2022.

Hieu graduated magna cum laude from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance.
