Since joining VinaCapital Ventures in November 2021, Dat has supported senior executives in investment evaluation, execution, fundraising and portfolio company monitoring, focusing on early and growth-stage technology startups. With over five years of experience in international trade and risk assessment in both the U.S. and Vietnam, Dat has been exposed to a variety of trading strategies and instruments since 2017. While working at the trading desk, he gained valuable knowledge about blockchain technology and digital assets.
Prior to joining VinaCapital Ventures, Dat was a commodity trader at Atlantic (USA), LLC (New York), a subsidiary of ECOM Agroindustrial Ltd., where he monitored international market performance, analyzed market reports, and developed hedging strategies. He has also worked with notable global agricultural and food manufacturers, including Starbucks, Nestle, J.M. Smucker, as well as with leading agricultural exporters in Vietnam.
Dat received a Bachelor of Science in Economics and International Business from Liberty University.
